Brave 10 – 01

I don’t know if this reminds anyone else of Hakuouki, but I know it sure did to me. I’m not usually interested in shows where tons of bishounens are always there protecting and saving the damsel in distress, but at least Hakuouki was about the Shinsengumi, which is to me what “High School Girls” is to most guys. Brave 10, on the other hand, just seems plain boring so far.

Mouretsu Pirates – 01

I’m glad that Mouretsu Pirates doesn’t appear to be a girl playing house at being the captain of a group of space pirates. Instead, it has an excellent mixture of good storytelling between the serious and fun slice-of-life moments, and everyone looks like they actually have a backbone. Can’t wait to see what character developments are going to occur in this two-cour series. My Sunday anime schedule is looking great all of a sudden!

Nisemonogatari – 01

Nisemonogatari is the most highly-anticipated series this season, and there’s no need to explain why. The wordplay between Araragi and Mayoi is exactly the kind of action that I enjoy, and my ドM side is already craving for even more Senjougahara fascination after this episode.

As tempted as I am to spam my usual collection of Senjougahara screenshots, I should just keep my inner perv in check. However, I really want to know, can I buy Senjougahara at 298 yen too?

Senki Zesshou Symphogear – 01

I was close to brushing this series off based on the synopsis alone, but the first episode managed to persuade me to hang in there longer. After all, this is an anime where selected girls fight enemies called Noise using their songs, and Mizuki Nana is one of the seiyuu here. The fighting scenes ain’t too bad, and I like the way Noise is drawn. However, the producers have better tackle the questions of where Noise come from and how the chosen girls to wear “Symphogear” are picked soon before my interest wanes.
