With the amount of money I’m spending on importing these goods from Japan, I could have possibly gone for live concerts in Japan.
In case some people have been wondering, no, my Minachan love has not died yet. True, I’ve been squeeing about her much less ever since I fell into the AKB48 fandom, but that doesn’t mean that Kotobuki Minako no longer holds a place in my heart.
With my limited amount of time and resources, I try hard not to get caught up in too many fandoms. However, that seems close to impossible these days, considering the online circle of friends that I hang out with. Kajiura Yuki and Sound Horizon were inevitable. Kotobuki Minako and AKB48 made me eat my words about being superficial. Nonetheless, I attempt to remain faithful to my fandoms by ensuring that they don’t clash directly, which eventually led to the below summary of why I like each group:
♫ 梶浦 由記 – beautiful music
♫ FictionJunction – divine vocals + harmony
♫ Sound Horizon – amazingly cryptic stories
♥ AKB48 (峯岸 みなみ) - good-natured, hardworking girls (ikemen dansou is a bonus)
♥ 寿 美菜子 (Sphere) – pretty Minachan
Yes, cute lolis are nowhere in the list. \(^o^)/ I’m a law-abiding citizen!
It’s an expensive hobby though. I might not necessarily buy all the Kajiura Yuki and AKB48 merchandise, but I still make it a habit to support
Sphere Kotobuki Minako as she is the underdog in the list. Sound Horizon releases are few and far between, so they’re the easiest on my credit card.
I’m still hoping to find a fandom with great dancing though. DiVA would have fallen into that category if Matsubara Natsumi could’ve joined them as the fifth member, but alas. Recommendations, anyone?
Ending the post with a Sphere vid:
PS: I wonder if anyone noticed that I copied the list off my twitter. ^_^
*squees like a crazed fangirl*
Seriously, the cast grows so much with each new story concert now, but I don’t mind as I’ve been looking forward to this ever since 「Märchen」 was released! Sound Horizon albums aren’t just songs, but stories. Revo tells the most wonderful stories of revenge and hatred and forbidden romances! Come to the dark side, people, I haf chocolate chip cookies.
For those who can read Chinese, here’re some links to the subbed fanmade videos of the story of Id, März and the lovely Elisabeth. You gotta watch them in the given order to comprehend the full story. Oh, click on the “More” in the links to see more information on the stories.
Prologue 「~Ido e Itaru Mori e Itaru Ido~ / イドへ至る森へ至るイド」
7th Story 「Märchen」
PS: My favourite is 「磔刑の聖女」, cuz of Elisabeth. ^_^
No, this is not a post about the songs in Sound Horizon’s newest 7th Story 「Marchen」. This is just a post for me to gloat about my copy of the 7th Story 「Marchen」 (Limited Edition) that I have.
The CD came in this nice-looking box cover. Just like all other Sanhora releases, there are more females than males on the cover and in the album. Revo-sama’s harem indeed. XD
We’re finally at the 7th horizon now, Revo-sama!!!
For the benefit of the non-citizens, Sound Horizon’s 1st Prologue Maxi CD 「イドへ至る森へ至るイド」(Ido e Itaru Mori e Itaru Ido), containing 3 tracks + 1 bonus, was released on 16 June 2010. I can’t elaborate much on the story beyond the PV since my Japanese is worse than atrocious. Wonder who the girl with the green eyes is supposed to be. Wanna see this prologue maxi in Sound Horizon’s next concert soon!
Track 2: この狭い鳥籠の中で
Track 3: 彼女が魔女になった理由
